Pet and Mount Redemption Delays

Blizzard Post
Greetings everyone,

As noted in our previous thread we are aware that purchased pets and mounts such as the Wind Rider Cub, Gryphon Hatchling as well as the Celestial Steed are not immediately appearing in player mailboxes once redeemed.

The matter continues to be investigated in an effort find the cause of the delay and to speed up the delivery of these items. As previously stated these pets and mounts are eventually being delivered, they are simply taking longer to arrive in-game.

Though we do not have an estimate on when this issue will be completely resolved, we will continue to provide updates when they become available.

If you are experiencing this issue please reply to this thread with the following information:

    Pet or Mount purchased
    Date of purchase/Code Redemption

Though we do not have a sure fire workaround for this issue we will try to push a few shiny buttons to see if we can hurry it along. It has proven effective in some situations though not all.

If you do receive your pet/mount and could edit your post stating that it has been received that would help greatly.

To ensure that this thread remains on-topic and easy to read, we encourage you to refrain from posting additional or unrelated comments. Thank you all for your patience.

Ok folks, I've had the shiny button pushed on everyone in this thread so far. That may or may not encourage the mail to come through, but is certainly worth checking.

If you are logged in, this would require logging out to desktop, relaunching WoW, then checking your ingame mailbox.

Thank you very much for your patience so far, this is still being investigated by our techs regarding the speed these are getting mailed.

Thanks!

Shiny button power!

We should be caught up on this thread so far.

Please note: You only need to post once, if we haven't posted yet to mark where we are on the list it isn't necessary to post a second time, your information is already listed. :)

Also, if you have received your pet/mount since you posted we would appreciate if you could edit your original post and let us know that you have received it.

Folks, if those above could check their email, would be much appreciated.

If you are currently ingame, you'll want to totally re-log, then check your mail.

We should be caught up to this point, remember you may need to log completely out of the game and back before the pet/mount will show up in your mail box.

Q u o t e:

Been a week now and I Still have not received the Celestial Steed :(

Qota, it doesn't look like your account was the one that purchased the mount, it looks like you haven't received it because they may have been an issue with the purchase. Can you contact the person who gave you the code? They should be able to contact Billing and check on the order.

Everything above this post should be received.

If you've been ingame recently, a relog may be required.

We are hopeful these are delivering faster now, please do let us know if that is not the case - or if any of these still have not come through.

Thank you very much for your patience.

So did I..and they deleted it. I guess I at least know they are working today.... but .... how about LESS weeding through the forums and MORE giving people what they ...hmm idk... already paid for?

I'm not certain what thread you are referring to, Rosalie, I haven't deleted any threads in this forum today.

Folks, I understand that you redeemed the pet/mount and you would like it immediately. We are doing what we can to hurry the process along while the overall issue is being worked on but please understand that this is not something that we are normally able to do and it is fairly time consuming. We are trying to help as a courtesy because we understand that you would like to receive the pet/mount as soon as possible.

Please use this thread as it was intended, to gather information and to provide what assistance we can. The extraneous discussions detract from that purpose.

I can guarantee clearing cache and wtf folders will do nothing towards showing up in game mail. If you HAVE to do that, the folders arent what is causing it - its your addons.

Indeed, if resetting your User Interface does allow you to retrieve the mount or pet it is likely that either it was an odd coincidence or an aspect of your UI was preventing you from seeing the mail.

We are working to catch up on the list here but as I said this is not a quick process.

Terribly sorry about the delay folks.

Everyone from this point and above in this thread should have received their pets.

If that is not the case, naturally let us know.

Now - a few folks have reported 'gifts', but unless those accounts are on the same Battle.net as the one being posted under here it may be difficult for us to find. (Billing could - but it's a bit more difficult for us to see orders)

In a case like that, if you could have the person post under the account in question - or even give us a character name/realm on the account in question, that would be most helpful as well.

We continue to look into why these are being delayed, but I have no ETA at the moment. Some players are reporting good results by clearing their WoW cache, but that doesn't seem to be a universal 'fix' by any means.

Thank you very much for your patience.

Everyone above this post should check their email for pets.

Note: Those of you that made mention these were 'gifts' - the account we need to address is the one that redeemed the pet/mount. A character name and realm on that account should be all we need to find it.

If you are currently ingame, you'd need to log out and back in then check your email.

This is an issue our techs are still addressing, thank you very much for your patience.

Folks above should visit their mail on their next login.

Do let us know if your pet/mount has not yet arrived.

I am so terribly sorry for the delivery delays on these folks, they are still looking into this issue and we are trying to expedite these as quickly as possible.

Thank you very much for your patience.

Shiny button deployed on all those above :)

Please note - if this was gifted, we need to know who actually redeemed and is waiting on the pet/mount.

A character name/realm on the gifted account is plenty for us to locate it! If you are logged in at the moment, relogging will likely be necessary to activate this email.

Thanks!

We should be caught up to this point.

Please note when redeeming that you must log out of the game completely before the pet will be delivered.

I have a bit of an update as well. It looks like they may have found the cause of the delay and have taken steps to get the issue resolved. New pet and mount redemptions should be delivered shortly after they are redeemed. We will continue to monitor this situation though to make sure.

Each issue reported within this thread should now be resolved.

I would like to take a moment to thank you all for your patience as our teams worked as quickly as possible to resolve this issue. We're happy to say that the issue has been resolved, and all new purchases will award the necessary pets and mounts shortly after the purchases are made. Please be aware, however, that this resolution cannot be applied retroactively, and you may still need our assistance to obtain your pets. Should that be the case, please create a new thread here on the Customer Service Forum, send an email to wowcsforum@blizzard.com, or contact our Billing department directly using one of the following methods:
