Greetings all!

As you are very likely aware, there were some unavoidable delays in the implementation of patch 3.3.5, and it became necessary to extend the normal maintenance period. Our staff has since worked very hard to resolve any remaining issues, and we are currently in the process of making all realms available for play.

This is reflected by Nethaera's post in the General forum here:

http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=25552425015&sid=1

And our Service Status forum here:

http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=25482060013&sid=1&pageNo=1#2

We thank you for your patience in the meantime, and should any further updates or announcements become available, we will furnish them in this thread.

If you feel that this extended maintenance merits compensation, then that is not a discussion that we in a position to address within the Customer Service forum, and you are best served by making your case constructively within our Suggestions forum.

Q u o t e:

if? IF? i would say that if the servers are down for 12 hours+ due to botched patches or w/e, we should be credited or at least be given a sacrafical gnome to slaughter...

Is there another kind of gnome?

In all seriousness, no one likes it when maintenance gets extended, but sometimes it's necessary. Sometimes an issue comes to light which must be addressed, and the realm up time gets pushed back a bit. The patch itself wasn't 'botched', however.

It's also worth keeping in mind that maintenance is an expected part of World of Warcraft. Patches are particularly demanding, but comparatively rare. So, some downtime is to be expected when major alterations are being made, though I am sincerely sorry that this process extended beyond the originally anticipated window.

All of that aside, any requests for compensation should still be directed to the Suggestions forum.

There was a blue post about all the servers should be up now, and yet they are not.

Realms are in the process of coming up in stages, but some realms may still be temporarily unavailable.
