Saw this posted by Ornyx in one of the I quit because balance is a joke locked threads...
Also, from a community perspective, I don't see the constant "I'm quitting" threads to be healthy.
My response is this...
While you are probably correct, your employer is the one causing this issue as they specifically tell people who are un-subscribing to leave their feedback on why here on the forum instead of, presumably, adding an adequate feedback section to the un-sub process.
Do those posts get old quickly? Absolutely. But if someone cares enough about your product to take the extra step to provide that feedback you should be celebrating it not condemning it. Ultimately, you (Blizzard) need to either provide a different means for that sort of feedback or accept that these threads will happen and actually sift through the bile they may contain for any valuable feedback.
People generally aren't quitting the game "for no reason at all". Learning and understanding their reasons can. if properly responded to, keep the same issues from coming back in the future.
Entirely agree!
The post wasn't a jab at the player for quitting, by any means, and I did invite him to stay for the update and mention that the upcoming 7.1 changes should help his complaints.
I think if we take the comment as whole, it becomes much clearer. The OPs post from that thread was mainly pointed at class balance for Affliction Warlocks, and their viability in PvE and PvP.
Feedback has been heard on these points over the past few weeks and we have made changes to Warlocks (as recent as a couple weeks ago), with more coming tomorrow. We need to take these things in stride so we can view where each class lands post-update.
My job here is to manage the community, and make sure we share perspectives while managing expectations and the overall health here. My posts are pretty clear on those points, I think. I get that people have complaints about the state of class balance so far in Legion, and I'm doing all I can to try to get that across here. I do have high hopes that we will get balance to a state where players enjoy as we move forward. :)
