Not just the words of rampant speculation here, but the words of Paul Della Bitta - Blizzard's Senior Community Manager. When asked how the plan was progressing for yearly World of Warcraft expansions the answer ran thusly: "Over the next couple of months you'll hear something, if not the next couple of weeks".
With Blizzcon kicking off on the 3rd August, its starting to look like an expansion announcement is an entirely safe bet. Bring on the playable Murlocs!
