NOV14 HOTFIX:

Players no longer receive any sound following the Quick Join notifications when friends or guild members queue.

Somone wrote an addon for this already!!!! Go Install.

I understand the pop-up "toast" and sound notification are coming across as annoying, and I will pass that along as the main issue here. I don't think it was intended for this feature to come off as as an "annoyance" to anyone, but rather as an easy and noticeable reminder to help players see that their friends are queued.

I'll share any updates I hear on this. Until then, thanks for your patience.

Issue:
My friends list is full, My guild peaks 40-50 people online. That in itself is driving me crazy with this feature enabled.

Works to temporarily get rid of both the toasts and sound.. but it does this by hiding the friends list button all together..
So make sure your hotkey is still set to open your friends list (letter O by default).
Unfortunately it reverts back to normal and the button returns if you reload your UI or relog, so this is not a permanent fix.

I've googled the hell out of this...(see edit 3.. Apparently not well enough)

It keeps making a "Ding"  and then a visual notification.. Blizzard i could really care less about the feature. I just want to disable this visual/audio notification. Like its really annoying.. I've disabled all of my social and Battle chat sound/notification settings. Still happening.

Does anyone know how to disable this? I'm literally looking for the sound file as we speak. Also.. How are you gonna give us this garb and not an offline mode already.

If there is no way to disable this then it gives me Three options. Prune my friends list to nothing, cease playing until we get a toggle or start brutalizing my game files which will inventively be fixed during patches... 

(Yes i play with sound, no i'm not going to disable it. Yes i'm mad bro)

First person with a solution gets a battle pet.

It's not even just real ID.

My guildmates are triggering it--so it's not just people on your friends list.

No idea how to stop it.
