No, it wasn't removed, it just hasn't made the patch notes yet. Just another one of the issues when releasing the PTR notes before the PTR is actually up. *grumble*

The patch notes are being updated constantly, you'll actually notice some missing stuff from the PTR build that was released and the web notes. Just keep an eye on the web notes for additions and changes: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/patchnotes/test-realm-patchnotes.html

2.3 will be up on the PTR for quite some time. Several classes are likely to get more changes before 2.3 goes live, it's just a question of which changes (ie: we're still considering the mortal strike effect for aimed shot for hunters, among other possibilities).

You guys at Blizz do realize how long it takes us to shoot an aimed shot right?? And how quick other classes can get to our deadzone.....right?

Yes, we'd be making several changes to aimed shot in the process if we decided to go with that change.

Mr kalgan, what about the deadzone problem?
In Arena there is not enough room for hunters to shoot and the cooldown abilities hunters have to go in range of an enemy are 1/10 of the abilities enemy have to keep hunter in melee...
Why do you want to keep the deadzone, what's the point of it?

We're planning to shrink the min range on ranged attacks to reduce or eliminate the "dead zone". The only point to the dead zone was to ensure the min range on ranged weapons was enough such that ranged weapon attacks wouldn't be used while also being melee'd (at least by mobs... players have a bit of slush built in).
