1) Will make tax cuts permanent, not temporary. Will veto any bill that wants to increase taxes.
2) Will get insurance for millions of people who are unable to get medicare. Thus making medical desicions will be between
you and your doctor, not in the halls of congress.
3) No child left behind has improved testing scores.
4) New money for children stuck in failing schools, to help them get out and into better schools.
5) Open up new trade agreements with other countries to stimulate economic growth and increase jobs in the USA. Will also
help countries that are fighting with us in the War on Terror.
6) Has passed laws to reduce oil usage, wants to pass more laws that reduce carbon emissions and improve nuclear and
battery technology. Also wants to slow, stop and reverse the effect of green house gasses with international agreements.
7) Will veto any bill that contain earmarks (unpopular things put into popular bills to help get them passed.) Will tell
all federal agencies to ignore all earmarks from now on.
8) Wants to pass legislation that bans, buying, selling or cloning of human life.
9) Asked congress to come up with a bipartisan solution to fixing the social security problem (running out of money).
10) Increase security on the border, but wants a way to allow illegals to become citizens and allow them to work. He
acknowlegded the issue of illegal aliens is a very complex problem.
11) Spoke of revolutions and uprisings from people in other countries who want free and fair elections to take place in
their own country.
12) Spoke of terrorism and the amount of death is causes in countries all over the world. Said that America will increase
the offensive on terroism, and "WILL BRING JUSTICE TO OUR ENEMIES."
13) Increasing military in Afghanistan by 3000 to help "build roads and hospitals, and help teach the afghan military."
14) Citizens of Iraq were afraid that America would abandon them, until they saw tens of thousands more troops come in and
help out. Today, 80'000+ Iraq citizens are fighting the terrorist, 100'000 more Iraq soldiers and police have been added,
achieving results many of us would have only dreamed of one year ago. All terrorist attacks are down since last year.
15) Al'qaeda is on the run in Iraq, and they will be defeated.
16) Armed Forces "will have all you need to protect this nation." Asks congress to meet thier responcibilty to the troops, by continuing to fully fund them.
17) 20,000 troops are comming home.
18) Palenstine and Isreal must live side by side in peace.
19) Prelude to possible actions/war against Iran because of its nuclear(nuqular) programs.
20) No attacks on America since 9/11. We owe thanks to those who keep us safe and have stopped the many attempts.
21) Feb 1st is when many laws allowing the government to track terrorist (phone taps, patriot act, etc.) will end. Wants congress to continue these laws past Feb 1st for the protection of America.
22) America opposes genocide in Sudan.
23) America leads the way against global poverty and global hunger, encourages people of congress to purchase food from other countries to help. Asks congress to approve 30 billion dollars to help world sickness (AIDS, etc.)
24) America has increased funding for veterans by 95% over the last couple years and wants more to help improve the system for our wounded warriors and help them build lives when they are back in America. Wants to make more money availble for education for militarys children and make more jobs available for thier spouses.
