The TRUTH about the ZA gong!

So, I led a group of new folks into Zul'Aman. I figured that they had gear and experience enough to get the first two bosses down. (They did on the next reset, but that's another story.)

...and they couldn't get past the gong.

WHAT???

Yeah. I'd been there lots of times before. This had never happened. Everyone was whacking on the gong, and the stupid gate wouldn't open. It always opened before. What was wrong?

Were not enough people clicking? No. Everyone was clicking.

Was it bugged? No. We ran out, reset, and ran in. Still nothing.

Was everyone an idiot? YES!

I finally figured it out, and got the gate open. Here's the story: Somehow, at least six idiots ran up to the gong and went:

WRONG!

The correct answer is to click ONCE! You then channel the gong hammering. After five people click, the thing opens.

I do not know what was wrong with those people. Between summons, healthstone cookie jars, mage tables, and, for crying out loud, auto-attack, people should be used to clicking once to make something happen.

What's more, they were so determined to be idiots that they kept idioting for several minutes while the gate didn't open. At least six people clicked as fast as they could the whole time. If one or two of them had stopped clicking, the gate would have opened. But, no. I was, truly, surrounded by idiots.

Well, now you know. If the gate doesn't open, it's because you have at least six idiots trying to wear out their mouse buttons by clicking on that gong as many times as they can. Announce that everyone who clicked more than once is an idiot, and they need to stop. First, they need to stop clicking. Then they need to stop being idiots.

I suppose that we have gear checks and skill checks, and we also have idiot checks. Any raid with more than five idiots in it can't get in.
