Are trinkets supposed to be working inside instanced PvP?

Did i miss an update somewhere? The Legion PvP preview from december says:

In Legion, as soon as you zone into a PvP instance, the stats on your gear will be nullified, and you'll be given a pre-determined set of stats that's uniquely configured for your specialization. Furthermore, any set bonuses, enchants, Legendary bonuses, or trinket effects will be deactivated (although your Artifact and its related Artifact Powers will remain active).

Today someone mentioned using them here, and i got confused because it seems pretty clear we werent going that direction... is it a bug? Or was there a change for trinkets?

To be honest, I never even thought to check before they brought it up.
