This kind of cheating has become common place. Every RBG I join someone is cheating. Many people may think I'm exaggerating, but I'm not. Blizzard and the rest of the wow community need to open their eyes. I can't even stand to play anymore because the scum on my teams and enemy teams is overwhelming. DDoS, pick up bots, lag capping bases, scripting, botting and the arrogance of these cheaters makes me disgusted.
There are different kinds of hacks:

3rd party programs:

There are 3rd party programs that automatically play ur character for u and can play bgs for you or do whatever u want. So ppl use them to grind honor or gold etc
Some of the third party programs can allow u to fly
Third party programs are easier for blizzard to detect but are easily used by almost anyone

Scripts:

Other people use scripts which are more difficult for blizzard to detect and use a routine to do the best dps but do not have a third party program running in the background.

Lag capping:

Lag capping I think allows u to move and cap or not be interrupted by dmg when capping nodes not 100% sure

Pickup bots:

Pick up bots allow a player to pick up flags as soon as they drop and before you can even visually see the flag.
Many times I have seen the enemy team pick up the flag from the node before the game has even spawned the flag at its node.

DDoS can occur when ppl you play with get your ip and then with a booter they send lots and lots of packets at ur modem causing you to lag out and disconnect
