When they say "tips appreciated" for portals or some crafting profession, how much are they expecting? 10 gold? 100 gold? 1,000?

I recently made a new character on a new-to-me realm with friends, and needed one signature from a stranger for the guild charter. I didn't offer any gold up front, but when my stranger came along and signed, I gave them 100g. I was called very generous.

I'd do most anything like that for 10g, personally. But 1000g seems excessive.

"New-to-you" realm, but you had 100 gold to give away. Kay.

Yes. I sold a PWS on the AH as soon as I got to a major city.

[Ah! Pandaren Water Spirit makes a lot more sense! Keep forgetting that one, it only recently became popular to my knowledge, plus it's a pain to get over Chrominius and isn't very cute.

Yes!

Other 3000+g pets that I keep going for on my main realm because they sell pretty quickly include:
Anubisath Idol
Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling
Darkmoon Tonk
Darkmoon Zeppelin
Son of Animus
