Beta Realm Maintenance - 8/21/14

Greetings All!

The Beta realms will be coming down for maintenance tomorrow morning (Thursday, 8/21) in order to deploy a new build. I'll be updating this thread with information and time estimates as I receive them. We hope to finish realm maintenance on all realms before our "Play with the Blues" event at 3:00 pm PDT (except for the Level 100 PvE Beta Realm which will stay down a bit longer),

Starting this thread pretty early to give you folks a heads up

I'll be leaving this thread open for general discussion as long as people remain civil and follow forum rules.

No wipe planned for this build push.

Will this build be addressing Healer balancing and tuning like Celestalon mentioned earlier in the week?

Honestly not sure, so I don't want to confirm one way or the other.

Sorry to bombard you with questions Zorbrix, but is there any chance that the Nagrand graveyard has been fixed and we can get our lvl 98-100's out of limbo? The graveyard on the easternmost side is spawning us below the ground causing an instant DC, rendering the characters useless. It makes me cry blood. :(

Hrmm, this should have gotten fixed in Monday's build. Which graveyard is it?

Alrighty, going home for the night.

Realms may count down and shut down in the morning before I get back to the office, depends on how early of a start we're able to get. Either way, I'll provide updates during maintenance.

Realms should be coming down shortly.

I just wanted to confirm that this build will have 5 new Player Character Models. Troll Male and Female, Human Male, Tauren Female, and Night Elf Male.

We've mentioned this before when models are first shown to you folks in beta, but I wanted to stress this point again: These models are a Work-In Progress. Things will not be perfect, and our QA testing of these models (and the subsequent bug fixes) are not yet complete.

I do hope you enjoy the models and give constructive feedback as appropriate, but please keep this is mind when looking at the models today.

How about VO? Do you folks like Voice Over audio?

Maintenance continues. Goal is still to have realms up and build pushed out to you folks before the 3pm "Play with the Blues" event.

You know what I also like? "EPIC CUTSCENES". Just, you know... just throwing that out there.

We still have Placeholder Cutscenes in these builds, those aren't quite done yet. Sorry!

Maintenance is not yet complete, so you won't be login.

Sit tight, I'll let you folks know once things are ready for you to hop on.

Your Battle.net App should start receiving the latest update, 18764, shortly. If it doesn't start downloading the updated build, usually waiting a few minutes works, or restarting it.

Realms will be coming up shortly.

Sorry for those of you still having issues downloading the build. Timing obviously isn't ideal here, but it's super important that we hit these roadbumps in beta as opposed to live.
