My face doesn't have a nose or lips. The new version does. If I wanted a nose and lips, there were several other faces I could have chosen.

Please reconsider making this redesign more faithful to the original, because that is not the face I chose.

Thanks to Osiria and Incinerater for adding Before&Afters!

Datamined art assets/models that are not in use in the current live game may not be final art.

Please understand that the Alpha is a testing environment. There is finalized, and then there are assets plugged in as a Cap'n Placeholder to see if the menu options are cycling through the options correctly, etc..

Yes, no one can say that this rendition of the skullface is faithful to the original. All anyone can say is that it might not be finalized.

That speaks volumes. This version of the skullface is so unfaithful, no one can believe it could possibly be what Blizz intends to actually release.

Having said that, we understand that character appearance is an important part of how players identify with their characters. That's why our art team is taking great care to faithfully translate them in the character model updates.

To get a better idea, check out previous ArtCrafts featuring character models (mainly in the banner for the blog article) with side-by-side comparisons between the old and new character model.
