After observing 25 Normal Norushen testing earlier in the week, we'd decided to disable the Draw ability. That change is not present in the current PTR build.

The original purpose of Draw was to discourage strategies that entailed ignoring the trials entirely and just burning the Amalgam from the start. However, we've since significantly increased the health of the Amalgam and made damage dealt to Manifestations also transfer to the Amalgam, which should accomplish the same goal.
