Serious question about the beta process

I'm looking forward to the game and would love to get in on the beta. Right now I have an active WOW subscription but I honestly haven't logged in for a few months and was thinking of cancelling my sub for awhile. But I thought about it and wondered if having an active WOW account ever comes into the decision making for beta invites. I've gotten in other Blizzard betas but I'm pretty sure all those times I had an active WOW account.

I guess to put it simply, does having an active WOW account effect in any way if you will be chosen for the beta or not?
