Auchenai Soulpriest + Earthen Ring Farseer

If you did have the Auchenai Soulpriest, could you use the Earthen Ring Farseer's ability to deal 3 damage to an enemy minion?

Some people have expressed uncertainty about this interaction and I'd like to see what you think of it.

This is probably one of my favorite uses of Auchenai Soulpriest in a Priest deck. Cards like Earthen Ring Farseer will have their healing powers converted into damage, so you can use the Farseer's Battlecry to damage anything on the board for 3. This also works with the Voodoo Doctor if the Auchenai Soulpriest is in play.

Holy Nova with the Soulpriest is not very pleasant and will do 2 damage to everything on the board. As Holy Nova's flavor text says, "If the Holy Light forsakes you, good luck casting this spell. Also, you're probably a jerk."

So the effect/aura of the Auchenai Soulpriest doesn't change "friendly" target requirement to enemy?

Example:
Darkscale healer
Battlecry: Restore 2 Health to all friendly characters.

Wouldn't hurt the enemy minions/hero?

That seems like it would take away a lot of interesting combos with the Auchenai Soulpriest.

No, it does not change friendly to enemy. If you have a Soulpriest out and you cast Darkscale Healer, you're going to have a bad time. Darkscale Healer would essentially read, "Battlecry: Deal 2 damage to all friendly characters."
