Hey guys,

Sorry for starting a thread like this.. I have done searches on google but some of them weren't specific for my liking.

Basically I play WoW on ultra and it can handle well but in some dungeons or places it will jitter. My computer specs are...

CPU TYPE:
Intel® Core™ i5-2400 CPU @ 3.10GHz
CPU SPEED:
3.32 GHz
SYSTEM MEMORY:
12 gigz
VIDEO CARD MODEL:
AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series
VIDEO CARD MEMORY:
2.72 GB
RESOLUTION:
1680x1015

Appreciate your input : )

Loochi ,

The i7 compared to the i5 on the Anandtech page you linked is an LGA 1366 part. It's not compatible with the motherboard you have and shouldn't be used in a comparison. If you really feel the need to upgrade the i5 Sandy Bridge cpu you have, you can use an i7 Sandy Bridge cpu like the 2700k, which will be faster, though that may not result in what you're looking for.

I wouldn't get too hung up about the "ultra" setting being suggested.

And yes, 16 gig is overkill if you're just interested in Wow. If you've never installed a cpu yourself, I'd leave it to the techs at the store to do it for you.
