World of Warcraft: Cataclysm will soon be upon us, and the denizens of Azeroth must be prepared! We're reaching out to the World of Warcraft community's talented filmmakers, artists, and graphic designers to help spread the word by entering two brand new contests.

If you've got the skills to make a truly moving or hilarious Cataclysm-themed commercial parody (Sockets are Forever is a great example: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/downloads/movies.html#valentines), then the Cataclysm YouTube Commerical Contest might be for you: http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/community/contests/cataclysm-video/

If your talents lie in creating original artwork or graphic design, then perhaps you'd like to whip up an epic advertisement or public service announcement for the besieged denizens of Azeroth. You can learn more about the Cataclysm Print Ad Contest here: http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/community/contests/cataclysm-print/

Whether you chose to enter either or both of these contests, please be sure to read the rules for full details and eligibility.

Q u o t e:
Very cool contests indeed, this should be really fun.

I did look over the rules however and am hoping you or someone can clarify one rule. If we already have a YouTube channel that we post machinimas on, can we use that channel, or does it HAVE to be a brand new channel?

Cheers!
-Q

Whoever submits a YouTube link to a video needs to have account control over the channel that the video is uploaded to as we will be using YouTube to ensure that the winning entrant was actually responsible for the video. We also suggest including your name in the credits for verification purposes.

To answer your question specifically, no it does not need to be a new channel, but needs to be one that belongs to you.

Good luck!
