I've checked my router and i just cant figure it out, both are connected wirelessly and the signal bar on the laptop is full strength.
Why would only 1 comp. on a network lag?

The other posters here bring up some good points and tips. You might also try moving your laptop next to the wireless router and see if the latency changes.
You can also get a third party program used to measure wireless activity and see if there are any other wireless networks in your area using the same or a nearby channel #. Changing your network to an unused channel can improve performance and limit interference if it exists from other networks.
