Update: Auctions close on Monday, January 30. So hurry and place your bids, as this is the absolute final opportunity to buy a server blade and give to charity.

If you thought you'd missed out on your chance to own a piece of Blizzard Entertainment history, we have good news for you: it's not too late! Starting today, we're releasing the last batch of retired EU server blades, which are now available for bidding on eBay. Don't miss your final opportunity to take part in this charity auction - net proceeds will be donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

St. Jude is a pediatric hospital and research facility, where patients from Europe and around the world are cared for. European medical professionals benefit from the discoveries made at St. Jude in their treatment of children with cancer and other serious illnesses. Partner clinics across the globe are aided by the hospital's valuable research.

For more details, and to view the auction schedule for this final batch of server blades, please visit our information page.

Do you play on a non-English realm? You can also bid on a server blade which held a French, Russian, Spanish or German realm!

@Telafakar: As I replied in a previous article about this, though St.Jude is based in the U.S. it has a global reach, including here in Europe. Maybe in the future we might choose a European based charity that has a global reach, including the U.S. But for now, St.Jude is the one this auction is for. Rest assured, the donation helps St.Jude and thus helps towards their European and global influences. :)

@Telafakar: Although St. Jude is located in the US, it can pretty much be called a global pediatric hospital and research facility. Partner clinics and hospitals across the globe are aided by the St. Jude's valuable research.

Patients from Europe and around the world are cared for at this hospital, and European medical professionals benefit from the discoveries made at St. Jude. This charity is of benefit to all children worldwide who needs treatment of cancer and other serious illnesses.

@Coniraya: The love is represented by payment to the charity. This is not about business at all; it's about helping an organisation that helps people across the world. You seem to be taking a charitable action and twisting its meaning to be the exact opposite of what it actually is.

@Bigarm: Not sure what you mean. If you mean "Why can't I bid for a server blade from Blade's Edge?" then the answer is, "Because this is the last of a series of server blade auctions and many realm server blades have already been sold, and the proceeds donated to St.Jude."

@Paniik: The final chance to buy a nicely presented retired server blade from a European realm and have the proceeds donated to a good cause in the form of the St.Jude Children's Research Hospital.

@Buulseye: No, we are auctioning off old realm server blades and donating that money to a very good cause.

@Decader: To reminisce about good times spent over years of "living" on your World of Warcraft realm. Honestly, I've been on my realm since just after the European launch and if it was still available for bidding I might consider buying it. And what's more, the proceeds go to charity. So you'd get something for what you give, and what you give goes to charity. Win win!
