The 2011 Global Writing Contest has come to a close, and while we’ve managed to whittle our way down to a list of finalists, determining the winner of the contest has been brutally difficult. For that reason we expect to post the finalists and grand prize winner on Monday, December 19.

We’ll also be posting the winning story early in the new year after we’ve taken time to localize it for a truly global recognition of their efforts.
