27/04 Recruit-A-Friend Mount Update

While we had originally announced the new Recruit-A-Friend X-53 Touring Rocket reward would be coming in just a few short days, it turns out there are still a few bolts to tighten, some loose wires to tuck inconspicuously under the upholstery, and a handful of parts leftover that we’re going to ponder and then assume we can safely throw away. As a result, we’ll be releasing this beauty a bit later than we’d first anticipated. This will also give anyone interested in the current Zhevra mount reward some extra time to claim one. While we don’t have an exact release date nailed down yet, we’ll make an announcement once the new mount becomes available.

Time is running out for those who wish to claim their Zhevra, as the launch of the X-53 Touring Rocket is now scheduled for today, Tuesday, April 27! If you’ve fulfilled all of the Recruit-A-Friend requirements necessary to claim a mount now but choose not to claim the Zhevra, you will be able to claim the X-53 Touring Rocket instead once it launches. Sounds like they’re firing it up for a final test run now....

Well of course eventually we'll be able to fly all over Azeroth. Sure, it's probably still going to remain reserved for the later levels, like it is now. But then again, if you're recruiting your friend -- even if you're going to level an alt along with them -- then you probably already have a high level character that'll appreciate being the proud owner of such an awesome new rocket. And that character's going to have a lot of fun flying over all those freshly revamped zones in Azeroth, once we're able to do so.
