Installing WoW to a New Computer

So i've been reading on the fastest way to do this, and apparently the way people are talking, I can just copy my entire WoW folder on my laptop onto a portable hard drive, and then paste that onto my new comp's hard drive. Would that work?

No, it does not store an encrypted value for the authenticator key.

A registry entry is there though to hold the game's installed folder. It will just be recreated if you delete the registry key.
