Launcher Hacked. Photo...

This is how my launcher looks: (and the WoW icon if u can spot the difference)

As soon as it loads it downloads that page from the internet...
and also noticing ver 3.1.1xxxx

Just to let u know... This was an obvious hack.

But my problem is i cant seem to get rid of it and return to the original launcher.
Using Launcher.exe from the WoW directory gives the same thing and the process isnt being bypassed/hijacked

Any Idea's?

can still launch the game without the launcher tho...

A clever ruse indeed, and certainly not authentic (as you rightly spotted). Be sure to take the necessary steps to secure your PC and Battle.net account:

As we say very frequently - we will never ask you for your password!

Also, if you receive any kind of scam mail, or security mail claiming to be from us, or have any questions or concerns about anything (including your dodgy launcher) be sure to pass the details on to us discreetly:

It's a good attempt indeed, but like all scams and threats there are big clues that indicate how authentic (or not) they are.

my desktop icon points to wow.exe and immediately starts my game

no thanks to the patches that keep changing it back to launcher.exe

The launcher carries an extra layer of protection so launching the game from the launcher is, in fact, more secure than running without it. Just an FYI. :)
