Guide : What race to pick ?

Many young priests comes to our forums to ask us what race to pick,when rolling a priest. We all have our own opinions but I am going to write down all our racials and spells so you can decide on your own,not getting tricked to play a short dwarf just because of their fearward ;)


Keep in mind :
All spells are counted for highest level.
I will add ALL racial skills to make it simple

The Alliance

Dranei




Spells :


Fearward : Wards the friendly target against Fear. The next Fear effect used against the target will fail, using up the ward. Lasts 10 min.



Racials :

Dwarf



Spells :

Desperate Prayer : Instantly heals you for 1300-1500.
Costs no mana but has 10 minutes cooldown.Only usable on yourself.

Fearward : Wards the friendly target against Fear. The next Fear effect used against the target will fail, using up the ward. Lasts 10 min.

Racials :

Stoneform : Makes you immune to bleed,posion and disease effects for the next 8 seconds and increases your armor by 10%. I
nstant cast, 3 minutes cooldown.

Gun Specialization : Guns skill increased by 5

Find Treasure : Allows you to see nearby treasures ( chests etc ) on the mini map.

Frost resistance :
Frost resistance increased by 10





Human



Spells :

Desperate Prayer : Instantly heals you for 1300-1500. You get the last rank at level 58.
Costs no mana but has 10 minutes cooldown.Only usable on yourself.

Feedback : The priest becomes surrounded with anti-magic energy. Any successful spell cast against the priest will burn 105 of the attacker's Mana, causing 1 Shadow damage for each point of Mana burned. Lasts 15 sec.
3 minutes cooldown , costs 580 mana.

Racials :

Perception : Dramatically increases your stealth detection for 20 seconds.
3 minutes cooldown.

Mace Specialization : One handed and Two handed Maces skill increased by 5.

Sword Specialization :
One handed and Two handed Swords skill increased by 5.

The Human Spirit : Total spirit increased by 5 %

Diplomacy : You gain 10% more reputation






Night Elf



Spells

Elune's Grace : Reduces ranged damage taken by 95 and increases chance to dodge by 10% for 15 sec.
Costs 240 mana and has 5 minutes cooldown.

Starshards : Rains starshards down on the enemy target's head, causing 936 Arcane damage over 6 sec.
Channeling spell, costs 350 mana.

Racials

Nature Resistance : Nature Resistance increased by 10

Quickness : Dodge chanche increased by 1 %

Shadowmeld : Mini stealth effect, any moving will interrupt the effect.
10 sec cooldown

Wisp Spirit : Transforms you to a Whisp instead of a ghost when you die,increasing your speed by 50%.



The Horde

Blood Elf



Spells :


Consume Magic : Dispels one beneficial Magic effect from the caster and gives them 453 to 488 mana.


Racials :

Troll



Spells

Shadowguard :
When a spell, melee or ranged attack hits the caster, the attacker will be struck for 116 Shadow damage. Attackers can only be damaged once every few seconds.3 charges. Lasts 10 min.
Costs 250 mana and are instant cast.

Hex of Weakness : Weakens the target enemy, reducing damage caused by 20 and reducing the effectiveness of any healing by 20%. Lasts 2 min.
Costs 240 mana, instant cast.

Racials :

Throwing Specialization : Skill with throwing weapons are increased by 5.

Bow Specialization : Skill with Bows increased by 5.

Beast slaying : Damage dealt to beasts increased by 5 %.

Berserking : Increase your attack and casting speed by 10 % to 30 %,depends on how much health you got. Lower - Higher effect.

Regnation : 10% increased health regnation. 10% of your health regnation continues in combat.





Undead



Spells

Devouring Plague :
Causes 900 shadow damage over 24 seconds. The damage done also heals the caster.
Costs 1000 mana and got 3 minutes cooldown.

Touch of Weakness : The next melee attack on the caster will cause 64 Shadow damage and reduce the damage caused by the attacker by 20 for 2 min.
Costs 200 mana ,instant cast .

Racials

Cannibalize : When activated regenerates 7% of your total health every 2 for 10 seconds. Only works on undead or humanoids corpses.

Underwater Breathing : Underwater breathing lasts 300% longer.

Shadow resistance : Shadow resistance increased by 10.

Will of the Forsaken : Provides immunity to Fear,charm and sleep effects while active. Can also be used while feared/sleeped/charmed. Lasts 5 seconds.
2 minutes cooldown.
