Blizzard, you have officially distracted me!

Do you remember back in the "making of" portion of the original Collector's Edition interviewing where the music composers said they were looking for a way to make the game intense through music, but wanted to make sure it wasn't a distraction that would trump the gameplay?

Well good going. You have hired some remarkable composers and I sit in each zone with loop music on thoroughly distracted from everything else going on in the World (of Earth) whilst being uterly moved by each piece that begins.

I especially like how, even though a majority of the music is completely revamped, you still kept a few of the original most nostalgic pieces in the rotation in their original format.

10/10!

Haha. I can certainly relate. In fact, just last night, while I was exploring the changes to Ashenvale on one of my higher-level characters, I was so riveted by the music near Raynewood Retreat, that I didn't notice when a pair of fledgling druids ran up behind me and started munching on one of my legs. (Unfortunately for the druids, my music-induced hypnosis was interrupted by a well-timed sneeze.)

I'll be sure to relay on your impressions to our Sound team, though. They poured quite a bit of sweat, tears, and passion into the soundtrack for World of Warcraft: Cataclysm and would certainly appreciate your feedback.

On that note, if you haven't already, be sure to check out BlizzCast #15 (http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/community/blizzcast/archive/episode15.html). We were able to sit down with Director of Audio, Russell Brower, and Senior Composer & Sound Designer, Derek Duke. It's a great interview, particularly if you're curious how the melodies for Cataclysm came to be. :)

Edit: Oh the irony!

I'll have you know that I was awfully tempted to respond with "neener." That way, when I double-posted, the taunt would have been complete. :P

Examples of maturity aside, the double and triple posting quirk (that's typically proceeded by the "Oops!" error message) is being looked into. I'm unable to say when everyone will stop repeating themselves, but everything should be resolved soon. Thanks for being patient with us in the meantime!
