Splintered Door of the Citadel dropped for my main today in reg HoR, and considering its rarity, I was pretty happy...until I equipped it and realized its the exact same shield as the one you can get from the badge vendor in Dalaran.

It has a different icon but is an exact duplicate in appearance. Was this intentional? Why give the shield a name like that when you're just going to reuse something that looks nothing like its name?

We get a little more art for a raid tier than we used to, but we create many more items than we used to. I believe the new Icecrown raid and dungeon introduced something like 1800 new items to WoW. While it would be awesome for every piece to have unique art, that's not a realistic goal.
