Tanks are just clones now

Blizzard have made changes so that you dont even need to ask this question. You should be able to pick up a warrior, paladin, death knight or druid and be good to go.

You have to stop putting tanks into "niches" and "flavors". All tanks can tank, some do it as a bear, some with a two handed sword others with a sword and shield.

this is what a lot of people are upset about though. not everyone likes the fact that the classes are becoming so homogenized. whats the point of having all these different classes if they're all able to do the EXACT same role? isn't that the whole point of having different races and classes is to do different things?

As I have said a few times, this is a really important topic.

Often times, and tanks are particularly and understandably guilty of this, players will ask for the exact same ability and stats as another class. But there absolutely are some players who are concerned about how similar that makes the classes feel.
