Fishing skill bug

I'm unable to get my Fishing skill up beyond 15 points (out of 300).

I have Oodelfjisk, which I know if you throw back into the water when you catch them, they should give 5 points, they're rewarding 0 points when throwing them back into the water.

I'm trying to get the Murloc rod on a second character and I'm unable to progress.

Can you please look into this issue and resolve ?

UPDATE:

Seems if you learn Legion Fishing it starts working again.
