Does anyone know the rules for

capturing a fully locked thread and then taking the content of said thread and offering an editorial of that thread on a separate website.

In other words, if a forum visitor found a thread to be enticing and deserved more comment could that thread be captured and placed on a different website for perusal and additional comment.

You can totally do that and fan sites do it all the time.

I had a thread once that turned into a deep dive piece on "Blizzard's stance on Pineapple on Pizza". Thanks Blizzard Watch, I bragged about that one to my parents.
