There are several similar threads on this topic right now. I chose to reply to this one, but that doesn't mean we haven't read the others.

Right now, we are working a lot on the Arms tree for 3.1, so suggestions and feedback on that play style are timely and useful. While Arms dps is too low at the moment, we are more interested in adjustments to signature abilities (say Mortal Strike, Overpower, Sudden Death, Taste for Blood and things like that) than we are just inflating passive damage, especially passive white damage.

So why don't you post your suggestions yet? Mine:

1. Arms thoughts
- its about battle stance (no stupid "overpower in bers" etc)
- battle stance need FAST spell interrupt inside, 'cause even macroed pummel works too slow: first lag on stance switch, second on pummel itself. Maybe some talented shield-bash-without-shield (was in blue post) or so
- staying & casting (slam) is not melee style. Melees are all about instants. So make slam instant with some penalties, or castable while running, or remove it
- what about expertise vs overpower? Looks like its not works due to rule "your stats dont make your abilities worst" (look on enrage vs resilience for example)
- arms RNG is good and fun. Watching your procs is funnier then stupid static rotation. Sadly, but with "SD consumes max 30 rage" change one funny & skilled decision was removed - to use overpower proc AFTER execute proc
- Taste for blood is weak talent. Nice try but it just too weak, and proc chance increase is not what you are looking at. PPM on white attacks while target rended looks more consistent with not talented behavior. Greater proc chance with internal cooldown is way to go
- Low arms are horrible. +5% parry here we go! Minus 3 rage on heroic yay! (with real cost of heroic 30+ rage)
- Bladestorm is stupid. Watching 5 sec on WW hell with no actions possible is NOT FUN. Change it to something more like feral berserk (longer duration, interesting additional effect on abilities YOU USE)
- Add second wind "no stuns/snares can be re-applied while under regen effect of this talent". Maybe increase point cost then
-Trauma is much worst talent investment then mangle. Merge its effect with improved rend
- Iron will vs charm? How many charms we see in PVP? Oh succubus.... lol. Literally ANY kind of control instead of charm would be better
- Improved charge. Yeah you have greatly improved it.... by plain increase in rage gain. But its works ell only with warbringer. So maybe put it in prot?
- Remove hamstring root proc from game, as well as glyphed one, as well as another stupid RNG control from other classes. Let imp ham increase minus speed % to cripping poison's level or so. Make additional 20% removable in some easy way, like "Any heal taken removes additional 20% slow"
-improved battle stance talent?

2. Rage when stance changes
Goal: Stance change should have some fixed cost, but skilled stance dancing should still de rewarded
Solution: After changing stance you cannot gain rage from damage done for X sec (while Tactical mastery decreases X).
- This "debuff" should not be cumulative: changing stances twice is not X+X sec, not even X+GCD - its just X secs (in another words: once you got this "debuff", you cannot get another one, or increase duration of current one, until it fades). Or dynamics will be hurt
- To provide visual feedback, just changee rage bar color to grey for X sec. Players will train it fast.
- Skilled players will benefit from autoatack timing and even from /stopattack in some cases, minimizing rage loss (white swing then change stance)

3. Rage building on absorb shields
Goal: Let warrior build enough rage on absorbs, but let shields be something more then twisted HOT
Solution: No matter your white hit crits or not, its always non-crit rage income while hitting through absorbs
Thoughts: Removing bigger part of shiled with white crit is still nice reward for lucky RNG

4. Fury thoughts
- again low-tier, old-fashioned talents are just horrible. UWrath 5/5 worst then 1/1 Anger management, good job! Imp execute, demo, bers rage, cleave etc is just lol. You have many great ideas i know, so use it! For example, improved BR could be fury's ant-cc uber tool, just add anti-root anti-snare anti-poly etc here in addition to anti-fear. Make it more expensive by talent point cost if needed

5. Prot thoughs
- omg, another bunch of low-tier stupid talents like +5% block (zomg 2 rage i know) or 5% dodge. Maybe not this talents itself, but their cost & position in tree IS stupid. PVP warriors probably want last stand etc, but those crap-talents not worth to pass through (while in PVE they works)
- remove imp cleave & imp heroic, move incite in low arms, and move deflection to deep prot. Play with talent costs etc
- rage cost is not issue for tank (oh too many avoidance for this crappy dungeon? wear couple of DD pieces!). So rage cost reducing talents are just not needed
- make prots viable on arenas, maybe in 5v5 at least (in debuffer role)

6. General thoughts
- its real PAIN passing through bunch of low-tear crappy tlents. "Oh, i should put 5 in parry.... yes its pissa%%!# but i need my deep wounds".... If they become better even in expence of high tier talents power (to keep overall power same) its much more satisfying to player
- make healing debuf an attribute of warrior class. I mean - let EVERY high level warrior get it (rouges already got it so what the problem?) Maybe make MS trainable or so (lot of changes involved in fury tree, i know). It will make prots little more viable without one more copy-past talent
- our survivability is just joke comparing to other plates. Especially vs casters
- dismantle is nightmare to us. Its just.... you know. Also, let 2hander disarm counts as right hand trauma, so its possible to wear shield (unable to wear it while stunned etc is big enough penalty fo not forseeing disarm and not wear shield before)
- we need more utility & mobility. Retardins & DKs are good examples

Slorkuz Edit: Renamed thread title

Blue tagging this for visibility. We are - as always - interested in hearing what the warrior community can come up with through debate and constructive discussion.

Charge should not trigger DR on stun with intercept. not all warriors have under 50 ping to catch someone.
3.1.0 PTR Patch notes have been updated:
Q u o t e:
Charge: Duration of stun effect now lasts 1.5 sec. This effect no longer has diminishing returns.

Any ETA we will get a glimps at the more pvp relative patchnotes, all we know now is fury getting murdered.
You guys better have to counterbuff it so we can still do some pvp.
We have no specifics at the moment, but we do want them to feel like a viable choice in PvP and one with less emphasis on RNG, with Overpower as a fine example. Just keep your ears to the ground for future updates. :)

And with mass shield from priest and totem shield from shamans things will get just worse. Its time to remove absorb vs rage mechanics blizzard, its limits you with no reason
Without making any assurances or promises, there are plans to allow Warriors and maybe Bear druids to generate rage when hitting a target with a shield up (as well as generating rage when being hit whilst shielded, which has already been announced).

This was brought to light recently by Ghostcrawler, and I've not been able to find it highlighted here in the forum, so if it's old news, my apologies! :)
