So I read somewhere that more than one Unholy DK is less effective in raids because of the Ebon Plaguebringer debuff only applying 3rd damage disease to the first DK that gets it on a mob.
This sort of goes against the design of "bring the player not the spec" because who in their right minds would stack an extra lower damage unholy spec DK? If both DK's were exactly the same in every respect, one would do higher damage (a considerable amount) than the other simply because of what seems to be a design flaw.
The 13% spell damage debuff applies to the entire raid. It doesn't stack with other similar debuffs (specced CoE and the boomkin talent). That component is fine. The problem is the disease only boosts extra strike damage from diseases for the DK that applied it and no other DK can overwrite it (they shouldn't have to) or benefit from the 3rd disease that is a massive part of their spec's dps output.
So here is my suggestion - make it a shared disease! It counts towards other DK's WITH the Ebon Plaguebringer talent. I know there was a change away from shared debuffs (old improved shadowbolt as a prime example) but this is a bit harder to change from the 13% dmg debuff.
