02/02 Free Character Migration

The below migrations will be activated today (Friday February 2nd). They're scheduled to close at the start of the maintenance on Wednesday February 7th. However, again, please note that this may change at any time.

Warsong to Agamaggan / Bladefist / Burning Blade / Daggerspine / Spinebreaker

With the exception of Warsong, which could do with a bit lower population level and hasn't had the chance lately, we're leaving the migration off until after next week's maintenance. This is to let the population stabilise a little after the recent migrations, and then decide whether to offer more free migration at this time.

There's no PvE to PvP migration. The French and Spanish currently have some chances of PvP to PvE migration, which is rarely used for free migration but may be tried if regular PvP to PvP or PvE to PvE doesn't give the wanted results.

We have two goals with free character migration:
1. Move players away from realms that are too highly populated.
2. Move players to realms that are too low populated.

Sometimes the incentive of the migration being free isn't enough, and we need to provide more options. In these cases we sometimes also offer free PvP to PvE migration, though (as with all free migration) only between a small selection of realms. For English and German realms this has not been a necessity this time around, though it was used once or twice in the past.

And once again, the migration is based on population level, not popular request or other factors. There's absolutely no point in requesting migration from or to different realms, as it will not be taken into account.

No, there's currently no guild migration support. It's up to the guild to organise such, and (in the case of not everybody being available to move their characters) evaluate whether to move anyway or not.
