Unfair Banning

Hello all,

3 weeks ago now our guildmaster logged in to find one of his accounts banned. The reason given in the email he received was illegal use of third party software.

First a couple of points:

    - No warning and no evidence was given, and nobody knows what third party software was supposedly used.
    - If he had used third party software then the banning is deserved, but he never used any such software to his knowledge - and certainly not intentionally.
    - The 2nd account contained nothing but a level 1 guild bank and a character he occasionally PvP'd with. Nothing that could even be considered a bot.
    - The guild bank contained many items of value that our whole guild has contributed to.
    - If this supposed illegal software was used why weren't both his accounts banned?

3 Weeks later and countless phonecalls, webforms, GM tickets and emails we still haven't had any helpful response of any kind. We still don't know what third party software it is he's supposed to have used nor have we been given any evidence at all to show that it was. We don't even know if anyone is actually investigating the matter. If Blizzard can ban accounts in this manner with no warning or evidence, who's to say anybodies character is safe from unfair banning? Maybe one day any of you who read this will log in to find hundreds of hours of work taken away with no reason and no way to have it resolved.

For this reason we have decided to get as many people of our guild involved as possible in this matter and try to bring as much attention as possible. The usual support channels have failed us so now we must try peer pressure.

Blizzard needs to learn they can't get away with such poor customer support any longer.

As always, we never discuss bans or suspensions on the forums. If your friend has been banned for 3rd party software use, he will need to reply to the email he was sent or send an mail to accountrevieweu@blizzard.com, and we will only ever discuss with him directly.
