Its now been 10 months since a new realm has been released and although the FAQ flogs us off with crappy excuses liike "Its not about time, its about population." we are the ones who pay blizzard £10 a month (and in my case for the last two years) and considering that there is a high demand for new servers it should be part of blizzards service to open a new server.

Some people may say "when does it stop" however its been 10 months and if you just let people voice their opinions and not lock the hundreds of threads posted by people each month you may realise how many customers you are losing/annoying.

The GMs also say they aim to keep a certain amount of servers recommended, this is fair enough but for hte last few months there has been only 1/0 pvp realms on recommended until recently where blizzard just made 3 realms which were medium population recommended to try and keep people quiet.

This all seems like a pointless argument as the thread will be locked, but if blizzard just left it open and alllowed others who wanted a new realm to post they may find out how in demand a new server is.

OF course there will be just as many whiners the other way who like to think they are the enforcers of the forum and try and point to the "faq", which i bet everyone who asks for a new realm has read, but they are just ignorant and trying to make themselves out to be almighty and are just trying to gain the next MVP spot(which they wont get! ). I hope these people refrain from posting.

We will let this thread open for discussion for now since you asked so nicely, but please note that new realms are only opened when there is an actual need for them. The decision of whether or not there is a need for new realms is solely based on the population on existing realms and expected population increase in the time ahead.

We realize that there is something attractive about being on a brand new realm where everyone is just starting out, but we simply cannot open a new realm because of "popular request" whenever someone feel like starting over from a fresh. If this was to be a factor when considering new realms, we would need to open new realms every month resulting in a large number of very empty realms, which is something that is far from desirable.
