Blizzard Post
Hi my fellow gamers !

Spakianor, me, requested Blahran to make this post

Spakianor who has just been spamming the General forum has just been banned till the 27'th of May. The reason the forum moderators banned me is, off course, just and well deserved. I was clearly spamming the forums and you don't need to read the guidelines/rules to figure out that this is a bannable offense.

Anyway. It took blizzard 1 hour and 18 minutes to bann me, and yet, on all servers around the world the spam continues. Resulting in a dramatic decrease in fun the game gives (while being in major cities).

In the 8 topics he created, 70-80 replies were made. Some condemming his way to achieve my
goal, some encouraging me to continue.

One thing is clear. This IS an hot issue amongst the WoW-player community. Several addons have been written by WoW-players to clean out the trade chat. Some examples:
Spam Me Not: http://wow.curse.com/downloads/details/7477/
SpamSentry - Anti goldspam: http://wow.curse.com/downloads/details/4150/

These addons have been around quite some time, yet, blizzard keeps claiming they do everything they can do to solve this issue. Well, here is a solution for you blizzard, like suggested in several forums before: Create a blizzard addon, supplied with the next hotfix, i'll even suggest a name for this addon: Blizzard_SpamReduction

Anyway. I suggest to all players out there who are fed up with the way blizzard is currently handling the situation, post as much about it as you can, but according to the forum guidelines (not the way i did, obviously).

Peace everyone!

(except the players who ever bought gold online, who directly support spam/account hacking, may your characters burn forever in the Molten Core with Ragnaros as your private Satan)

During construction of this post, 4 gold-spammers have been banned in orgrimmar.

We acknowledge that this is a hot issue that annoys many people, which is something we do care about indeed. We are doing our very best to combat this issue, however if you are not happy with our current efforts to address this issue, then it is surely a good thing that you at least have alternative options available to you, like using the addons posted above.

We always appreciate suggestions, so feel free to post them in the correct forum: http://forums.wow-europe.com/board.html?forumId=10024&sid=1

It is perfectly fine to complain if you are unhappy about something, but encouraging and participating in spam campaigns to flood the forums and render them unusable to other people is most certainly not the way to go... unless your goal is to have your forum access removed of course ;-)
