So with the mage Bracers and Unholy ring and other legendary nerfs that we have seen.. almost all of us expected atleast some QOL improvement for druids with the helm being slightly nerfed and that poured back into our spec....

Currently ED helm is a stronger dps gain than Unnerfed Mage Bracers or unholy ring. and Now with the newest PTR notes we get this,

Item - Druid T19 Balance 4P Bonus Starsurge deals 20% increased damage to targets affected by both your Sunfire and Moonfire...

This pushes ED helm into a level of either have the helm or just don't play druid...
People have already started running the sims and the set bonus is 7.1% dps gain with helm
5.1% without.

That pushes the helm into the range of 10-15% dps gain Over people without helm.....
How can our class possibly be balanced while leaving the helm in its current state? Either you balance around the helm and everyone without it is just trash. Or you balance around not having the helm and all druids with the helm become #1 dps in their guilds. and you end up with something like

50% druids on WCL being middle of the pack 17-20th spec
99% druids on WCL being top 3 DPS spec

Will we see something done to this helm in a future PTR build to try to bring it down a bit?
I put up a solution myself a while back.

Starsurge reduced by 5 AP
Emerald Dreamcatcher nerfed to 7/14 AP down from 10/20AP

Which would cut the efficiency of the helm vs not having the helm by almost 33% while keeping the top end of the helm still where it needs to be. SO what are other peoples thoughts and suggestions on how this could be fixed because we all know something is gonna have to be done about it eventually just like fire mage bracers...

Quick update here-

We just shared a note on a revision to our recent change to Emerald Dreamcatcher:
We want to reduce the overall strength of the Emerald Dreamcatcher, but agree that removing the “Surgeweaving” playstyle it allows isn’t ideal. So, we’re going to take a different approach. Instead of adjusting the buff’s duration, we’re going to reduce the Astral Power cost reduction to 7 per stack (down from 10). This should allow you to continue the playstyle of weaving spells in-between Starsurges, but still lower the gap between players who have the Emerald Dreamcatcher and those who don’t.
