Please fix this to bc, wotlk or mop. As of now It doesn't work correctly. It should target in a frontal cone and the nearest enemy in front of you. This is extremely frustrating playing with how broke it is.

In Patch 7.2, tab targeting should feel more natural. While in combat, you will no longer be able to accidentally tab to a target that is out of combat with you. Furthermore, you're no longer able to tab to a target that neither your character nor your camera can see. This is very much a work-in-progress, and your feedback is greatly appreciated.
The patch notes look promising for tab targeting, but the combat restriction sounds miserable for leveling or PvP.

For clarity: the combat restriction only applies if you are also in combat. It's intended to stop "I accidentally tabbed to the other pack and double-pulled" situations.

We'll get the patch notes clarified, thanks for calling this out.
