Love is in the Air this month and there’s much to see and do. In this February edition of This Month in WoW, we look forward to some of the great in-game events and the ongoing development of Patch 7.2: The Tomb of Sargeras.
Holidays and Events
- Lunar Festival [January 21- February 4]
Every year the druids of Moonglade hold a celebration of their city’s great triumph over an ancient evil. During the Lunar Festival, citizens of Azeroth have the opportunity to honor their elders by celebrating their sage wisdom, sharing in magnificent feasts, and of course… launching fireworks! - Darkmoon Faire [February 5- February 11]
The Darkmoon Faire opens of business! Meet Silas Darkmoon and his troupe, play games that test mind and nerve, and behold exotic sights from the four corners of Azeroth… and beyond! - Love is in the Air [February 7 – February 21]
Something is in the air in the major cities of Azeroth. Many guards and townsfolk spend their days giving and receiving gifts to other amorous citizens.
Micro-Holidays
- Hatching of the Hippogryphs [February 23]
This is the day that the Frayfeather Hippogryphs hatch. Head to Frayfeather Highlands in Feralas to witness the spectacle firsthand!
Bonus Events
The Bonus Events system consists of a rotating schedule of different activities that each grant a passive bonus to players and offer a once-per-event quest with a noteworthy reward for accomplishing a related goal. Check out the Adventure Guide in-game for a direct link to active Bonus Events, allowing you to easily accept any associated quests.
- Pet Battle Bonus Event [February 7 – February 13]
While this event is active, your pets will earn experience at triple the usual rate! Get out there and battle! - Timewalking Dungeon Event: Cataclysm [ February 14 – February 21]
While this event is active, players level 86 or higher may access a special Timewalking Dungeon Finder queue, which scales players and their items down to revisit past dungeons from the Cataclysm expansion. While Timewalking, bosses with yield loot appropriate for a player’s natural level. - Arena Skirmish Bonus Event [February 21- February 27]
While this event is active, Arena Skirmishes will award Honor at an increased rate. Will you answer the call to battle? - World Quest Bonus Event [February 28 – March 6]
While this event is active, completing Broken Isles World Quests awards bonus reputation with the appropriate faction.
