People from the central Plains through the Midwest/Northeast will have to prepare for the likelihood of a major winter storm between Friday through Sunday of this weekend.

With arctic high pressure and cold air mass north of the low pressure system, and ample moisture from the Gulf of Mexico overrunning this cold air mass, the synoptic conditions will be favorable for both a major snowstorm and a significant mixed-precipitation event, including the possibility of an ice storm.

So, winter storm watches may be required.

Stay safe and warm out there, folks!

It's a 'crisp' 68 degrees today out here in SoCal. For a lot of people at Blizzard anything below 70 calls for 3 layers of coats and snow boots. ;P

Agreed, I'm about 20 minutes from Irvine in SoCal and I'm wearing a scarf and a jacket with gloves ready in the car.
You and half the people on campus today. ;)

I know your kind!
