"Live maintenance" during prime raid hours

12 years not enough to figure servers out huh? Maintenance all morning then they wait till prime time raiding hours on a tuesday to do a 2nd maintenance.. half guild can't log in. Awesome.

Maybe spend some of that billions of profit on some better servers/techs instead of giving Bobby Kotick another new pay raise to make him one of the highest paid CEOs in US? That sure was fun to read in the news today while looking at these failed login attempts :D

We do always try to plan these things, but this was indeed an unscheduled maintenance that was not originally "in the cards". Apologies for any inconvenience you may encounter with the timing, but we are doing our best to get back up ASAP.

Give us some time to get the hamsters fed and energized and we'll be back on track!

That's pretty funny, especially considering you're now deleting threads on sight.

Literally hadn't touched a thread until about 20 seconds ago, and that was only to get the conversation to one place - namely, this thread.

Can you at least tell us what this unexpected downtime is for? Might help calm everyone down.

No specifics to share at the moment, but will update when I can!

We're looking to be back up around 6pm PST (about 30 minutes), so don't fret too much. ;)

They do it because they feel it's necessary and can't wait.

Something's borked and they're trying to fix it so people can play.

You're an "MVP" does this mean you get something in return for "helping" or posting your opinion like this, or do you just saturate the forums for positive blizzard publicity?

Or maybe he understands that unexpected things can and do happen from time-to-time, and, while rare, we can never truly know when something goes wrong until it does.
