My Character can't join a guild

I did a faction change on Tuesday and I still can't join a guild on Alliance side for some reason. Everytime someone tries to invite me it just returns to the user who sent the invite with "<their own character name> is already in a guild."

What should I do?

Moving this to the CS forum - someone there may be able to help.

If all else fails, I recommend contacting CS through a ticket or live chat!

Actually, Vrak asked a few people to do that early on when this first started cropping up. I even had it in my copy/pasta for a while.

No one ever (consistently) reported back saying it worked, so I took it out. Much like I'm not putting in the toon deletion method.

Aye. That was one of the troubleshooting steps we originally suggested, but we didn't get anyone back saying it worked. It might not be a bad thing to try if all else fails. If it works please let us know. Otherwise, the steps Mulberry listed earlier seem to do the trick.

1. If you're still in contact with your old guild, get them to boot the character you faction changed.

2. Wait until a server reset (usually Tuesday maintenance).

3. Submit a ticket and ask a GM to poke your account with sharp, pointy things. Use the payment issues tree.
