There have been many posts on the PvP discussion forums asking why PvP players are being forced into raids in order to obtain their PvP weapons.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but for those who PvE, you can rank up your weapon at each stage very easily.
Normal -> Heroic -> 10 man raid -> 25 man raid.

I don't see any spot in that ladder where these PvE players are being forced to go and arena for their weapons. Why is the opposite put upon PvP players?

For someone of a sub-1930 rating (top 5-7%-ish of arena population) there are ZERO PvP weapons available. Not to mention for those above 1930 the Deadly Gladiator's weapons are still outclassed by 25 man KT weapons.

I choose to PvP because I like it better than PvE, don't force me into the section of the game that I do not want to be a part of in order to succeed at the section that I do enjoy.

Currently we want the PvP weapons to only be available at the highest tier of PvP. The PvE and craftable weapons are available enough to get/use in the mean time.

What about battleground focused players? The difference between crafted weapons and what we currently run into in battlegrounds already puts us at a major disadvantage. Include the gear gap for every non-weapon slot and said disadvantage multiplies. Then consider that the next tier of arena/raid gear widens the gap more than any previous and the situation you're placing a segment of your playerbase into becomes fairly obvious.

Some people will raid or min-max arena just to remain competitive in battlegrounds, even if they don't enjoy it. Personally I don't see why I should pay for a form of entertainment that attempts to force you to endure uninteresting, unenjoyable things in order to enjoy the aspects you do enjoy. I am certain I am not alone in this sentiment.

Until a trackable system similar to arenas is worked out/implement for battlegrounds (and this is a lot harder then it sounds) we won't be able to offer similar quality gear from just doing battlegrounds.
