We had 2 teams top 5 for the majority of the season and the team with the higher rating that was 1st in our battlegroup won't be able to play in the tourny. I'm on the team that was ranked 3rd at the cutoff in our battle cluster, and I very likely won't be playing in the tourny.
I will also not be playing wow anymore when my subscription runs out. This PvP tournament is the worst administered tournament I have ever seen. We have over 20 people from our guild who will be quitting in the upcoming weeks, and the newer members to our guild will most likely move on to other guilds or games.
I would just like to thank Blizzard for killing the PvP draw in WoW for me and my guild. I anticipate other guilds doing the same in the up and coming weeks and months in regards to the way this tournament was administered, because there is honestly no reason to play WoW for PvP anymore. PvE is all this game has left, and I hope Blizzard continues to make improvements there, because I have given up hope for PvP.
Pyre was a top PvP guild in Cyclone, for whatever it was worth, and we had 2 teams who at the time of the cutoff would have made the tournament, and now you will have 0 of our teams playing, even though my team made the tournament after all.
I am posting this to illustrate the effect that poor customer service, capricious and arbitrary rules, TERRIBLE CM responses, and mismanagement of the one true PvP thing in the game has on your playerbase.
I fully anticipate playing Warhammer Online when it comes out, and I hope that they do PvP right, because you guys here at Blizzard surely didn't. I've played this game since Beta, and I am officially done.
