The 5v5 Qualifications are Incorrect

Blizzard sent out e-mails earlier today congratulating the top 5v5 arena teams that qualify for the second round. Our Battlegroup (Reckoning) gets 3 qualifiers, but our team that was in 2nd place on the 15th did not qualify, while a team that was a full 125(!) rating below us did.

The Arena ladder page listed here: http://armory.worldofwarcraft.com/#arena-ladder.xml?b=Reckoning&ts=5 was updated to include games played on Sunday but not to include games on Monday. Here is a screenshot of that ladder page in case the Armory updates or becomes unavailable: http://img413.imageshack.us/img413/6049/tuesdayupdateyd0.jpg . These rankings should be the ones used to determine the top 3 teams, as stipulated by the official Arena rules:

Q u o t e:

1. The First Qualification Round of the Tournament. The First Qualification Round of the Tournament for the North America and European Union Region shall commence on February 16, 2007 at 12:00 AM, Pacific Standard Time and end on April 15, 2007 at 11:59 PM, Pacific Standard Time. Arena Teams shall compete to earn an Arena Rating based on their participation in 5 v 5 matches held in the "Arena Player vs. Player Battlegrounds" on their respective World of Warcraft Servers. At the end of the First Qualification Round of the Tournament, the top thirty nine (39) Arena Teams in the North America Region, and the top thirty eight (38) Arena Teams in the European Union Region who have the highest ratings at the expiration of the First Qualification Round of the Tournament will receive invitations to compete in the Second Qualification Round of the Tournament.

The problem is that our team which was in 2nd did not qualify, while the 5th rated team SERIOUS BUSINESS, did.

So then, the natural question is how can one prove that that Armory update was from last Sunday? Well, our team also won 5 games on Monday that raised our rating 13 points before the Tuesday maintenance.

Here is a screenshot of our game listing that’s listed on the Armory (updated through Sunday): http://img258.imageshack.us/img258/6540/armory2ga8.jpg

Here’s an in game screenshot taken today which shows 2 things: 1) that we won 5 games that weren’t included in the Armory update (so the Armory could not have been current through Tuesday, it would had to have been earlier) and 2) that we didn’t play any games this week, so our higher rating of 2490 was what we were at before the Tuesday maintenance and is not a rating we just now achieved:

This is unmistakable proof that Blizzard messed up its determination of the top teams from each Battlegroup. I know other Battlegroups have been similarly affected and so this needs to be addressed.

The specific cause in this instance was that your team did not have the required number of eligible members to advance. We'll be posting something in the coming days that goes into further detail why a team may or may have not advanced, which is going build off of and explain the Arena Tournament Rules, which can be found here: http://armory.worldofwarcraft.com/#arena-tournament-rules.xml

why are you telling them this now?

The tournament rules have been available for a while now, I don't think anything in the rules should be new information to the teams competing for top honors.

The team "PvE Clickers" on Gurubashi is not eligible, yet they recieved an invite.

They were rank 3 on the date the standings were pulled, and all of their members were eligible.
