The old honor system is being removed as we launch the new honor system with the release of the expansion. The will be no carry over from the old honor system to the new one, aside from being able to display your title of highest rank achieved. The slate is effectively going to be wiped clean, giving birth to a new honor system, more powerful than you could ever imagine.

Actually it's a pretty simple and to the point change, the 'powerful' spiel was just for fun.

Current honor rewards will be available in the new system, there will simply be a different method by which they are acquired. All of your bolded comments only refer to the fact that the competitive-based structure is being changed and that current standing can not be translated into an equatable amount in the new system. Everyone will basically start at zero honor points, but the same rewards will be available.

Honor points will still be used to purchase trinkets, consumables, mounts etc. as before, but the Arena point system will have another set of rewards seperate from the Honor system. Arena points will allow access to high-end armor, mostly, with stats and bonuses that are aimed more toward PvP.

There is still going to be gear available with the honor system. Gear up to level 70. However, it just won't be as uber as the equipment available from the Arena system.

Ok so, honor will be useless. so does the BGs (Who on earth will run battlegrounds for trinkets/food...)?

no armor/weapon for honor farming people that dont have time to grind ranking arena ?
