How much before blacking out?

So on a whim last night, I gathered the 5 hops and got some Thunderbrew ale in westfall. Used all 5 charges, and with each charge the background got fuzzier and fuzzier. Which makes sense. My question is, can my character black out? or die of alcohol poisoning?

on another note, why are we allowing our kids to get "drunk" in a video game? kind of a .... no never mind!! I'm not opening that can of worms again.

I proposed that eventually the screen goes black and you wake up in a random capital city of the opposite faction, but it didn't fly.
