Just to clear up any confusion, the items with a duration on them won't all vanish on November first, you just won't be able to get any new ones.

We have been putting items with durations on them into the game for quite awhile already, while some people stock up on them to use at a later time, I know I don’t see very many reindeer or rose petals throughout the year.
