**Old Felwood**
10-man instance

Event name(s): Consuming the Skull of Gul'Dan, Pissed Dragon is Pissed Off, Escape from Pissed Dragon (credit to Muru of Dalaran)

Thanks to Tyrande Whisperwind, Illidan Stormrage is free from his 10,000 year imprisonment and has taken a force of Night Elves to hunt the Legion in Felwood. Illidan combated the Legion and fought through the corrupted forest, only to find himself later locked in battle against Arthas Menethil, Champion of the Lich King.

Finding that they were evenly matched, Arthas then stopped their duel to deliver a message to Illidan; the Death Knight claimed that source of corruption in Felwood stemmed from the Skull of Gul'Dan, and that an artifact of such power would be of great interest to Illidan's desires.

Wary, but curious, Illidan decided to investigate. He eventually found and consumed the Skull of Gul'Dan, transforming him into a fearsome demon. Illidan then wtfpwns Tichondrius, and Furion QQs a bit and kicks him out of the family.

INVOLVEMENT OF THE INFINITE DRAGONFLIGHT:

The actions taken by Illidan on this day sealed the defeat of the Legion (an act mentioned by Kil'Jaeden), following the fall of Archimonde. Agents of the Infinite Dragonflight discover that it was Arthas Menethil who tipped off the newly freed Illidan Stormrage, and plan to dispatch both Illidan and Arthas during their stalemate battle.

By doing so, the Infinite Dragonflight kills an agent of the traitorous Lich King, while at the same time preserving the Skull of Gul'Dan and ensuring the survival of the currently-appointed Commander of the Scourge (Tichondrius)

INSTANCE PROGRESSION:

Much like in Old Hillsbrad, you are put under disguise as to not raise suspicion. You will take the appearance of a Night Elf and will aid Illidan as he ventures through Old Felwood.

After battling Legion trash mobs, Illidan will confront Arthas (scripted event) and as the two battle, Undead trash mobs on the sidelines will attack your party (throwing this in for funzies) You must defend yourselves until Illidan and Arthas take each other down to 50% HP.

BOSS FIGHT: Infinite Dragonflight Duo

Two agents of the Infinite Dragonflight will attempt to kill the now weakened Illidan and Arthas. I dunno, use your imagination for this one. Maybe a 10-man version of the Twin Emperors encounter?

You must defend Illidan and make sure Arthas tells him exactly what he wants to hear. Arthas then runs away because Unholy Aura is overpowered.

Afterwards, you continue going through Felwood until Illidan consumes the Skull of Gul'Dan. However, someone/something from the Infinite Dragonflight messes with Illidan somehow, but not before Illidan wtfpwns him and he dies. But the damage is done; even though Illidan has increased powers from the SoGD, Illidan will surely not have enough strength to take on both Tichondrius and his lackeys.

"ugh good thing we kill this stubborn bastardin the future" your party mumbles to themselves, and now you have to help Illidan kill Tichondrius, since the ID pulled off voodoo magic that temporarily weakens Illidan.

BOSS FIGHT: Tichondrius and his lackeys

You know the drill, help out Illidan and loot Tichondrius for phat purplz.

After the battle, Furion starts to QQ and Illidan kinda wanders off. Furion and Tyrande go away in a tree somewhere to have sex.

BOSS FIGHT: Pissed Dragon

A pissed off Infinite Dragon is pissed off that you were meddling. You kill him for more phat purplz and he drops a quest item (something like [Incriminating Evidence Against The Infinite Dragonflight]) that you bring back to Sordorimi, and thus creating a new quest chain so we can all pay more 15 dollars a month.

JUSTIFYING THE LOLLORE OF Mt. Hyjal--

Add Tichondrius as a boss in Mt. Hyjal. Then the Bronze Dragonflight will be all like "wtf Tichondrius was supposed to be dead, lol good thing we sent you back there" and will send you to Old Felwood to investigate.

Sordorimi would pull off some voodoo magic to prevent major damage to the timeways just long enough for you adventurers to go back and fix the problem (you need to go back before the time shift wtfpwns the present)

whaddaya think?

The Caverns of Time is definitely an exciting place with nearly endless possibilities of places in Warcraft lore to explore.

Keep in mind that not every instance of the Caverns of Time is a direct result of interference from the Infinite Dragonflight. Their plotting and scheming of future attacks on time remain a mystery to us, but the Caverns themselves are also something we mortals do not entirely understand.

While the Timeless One, Nozdormu, may know more than we do, he remains secluded at this time and is not sharing information.
