It may not be common knowledge, but from what I have seen so far, DirectX can leverage a second core in much the same way that MTGL does. That is to say we're already getting the benefit of a second core on the Windows build, and have for some time now. Watching the CPU activity monitor can reveal this as well depending on scene content.
